Both Deng and Rose came pretty darn close to making the second team. Pretty interesting rankings.

And we thought Deng might make 1st team. I guess it's an acknowledgment that the team's #1 ranked defense is a team thing and not because the individual players are good?

It's based on reputation to a large degree. But yes, so far no one has agreed to identify Luol as the lynchpin for that defensive effort. Not because it is or isn't true, that's just the way it is.

    Awesome news for Noah.

Also goes to show you can have the best defense in the NBA with offense oriented / defense challanged players ilke Boozer and Korver getting heavy minutes.

Bulls were #1 with Curry and Gordon, too.

It's a pretty fascinating list as it always is. I think it's too heavy on stars (Kobe, Lebron, Rose and particularly Wade, who I think is inconsistent as hell). You have to wonder if the media voted on the list, instead of the coaches, if the list would actually have less stars, intuition aside.
