The New York Yankees beat the Tampa Bay Rays by a score of 6-2. Joba Chamberlain started and got the win. I didn’t realize Joba was undefeated on the road when the game started. He’s still undefeated. I like what Michael Kay said during the game that he’s going to continue to eat no matter what. Sounds like a plan. How about that perfect bunt Jeter made in the third inning? The Yankees didn’t score but it was a perfect bunt. Zobrist caught an amazing out against Tex in the third inning. I have to admit it was an awesome play. Joba’s pitches were just dropping. His breaking ball was unbelievable. This might of been the best I’ve ever seen him pitch. Tex robbed Navarro of a certain base hit in the third. I was certain it was going to go over Texeira’s head. Tex jumped really high to rob him. It looks to me like Tex might be able to dunk a basketball. They were talking about A-Rod on tv and how some kid was “frozen” when he met A-Rod. Like A-Rod was some sort of god. I don’t know how any kid could be frozen when meeting A-Rod, an admitted steroid user. Then they were talking about Carl Crawford and all of his stolen bases. How the heck did Ricky Henderson steal 130 bases in one season? That’s beyond words. That’s too many. In the fifth inning, Garza hit Tex with a pitch but it didn’t really look like Tex got hit. I don’t remember what at bat it was but A-Rod was battling Garza and Singleton said, “This is A-Rod’s best at bat of the night.” What? A-Rod then made an out. You don’t get a prize for having the best at bat of the night. Give me a break. That made no sense. Cano hit a major bomb in the top of the sixth inning. That was major. After he hit the ball, he dropped his hands down like, “I know it’s gone.” After the Yankees scored their fourth run in the eighth inning, I knew it was over. The Rays had no chance. Then Tex hit a major bomb in the ninth inning. That was great to watch. Yankees won and the last time I checked, the Red Sox were losing. No, they did lose. Yay. Player of the Game: Joba Chamberlain. Joba’s breaking ball was really great. He dominated and this was the best I’ve ever seen him pitch.
