They're about to launch a movie about Steve Jobs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jobs_(film) I just saw the trailer on a YouTube video, and I'm not sure what to make of it. Thoughts?
My first thought is about the timing of the movie, as well as how involved Apple must be. This seems like it might be slanted from an Apple perspective and will probably be a glorified advertisement for the company, instead of a realistic bio-pic. My second thought was concerning the movie, "Pirates of Silicon Valley." Essentially, they already portrayed the story very well, and Steve Jobs was probably portrayed in a more realistic light in that. My last thought was... Ashton Kutcher? I know Steve Jobs had long hair back in the day, and he wasn't a bad looking guy, but Ashton Kutcher? Really?! That's not only unrealistic, but it seems like it'll distract from the plot.
ashton kutcher is enough reason for me not to see it, not that i was interested in the least to begin with.
Kutcher is not a draw for me. I might watch it someday if it gets great reviews, but I never joined the mac cult, so great reviews probably wouldn't move me to watch it.
