It's too bad. I wanted to see this player get on the court so I could see why some compared him to Olajuwon.
I always hate to see this kind of thing happen. It's shit deal for these young guys to have their bodies fail them just as they reach the pinnacle.
What would philly take for him? These are types of home run swings we need to take if possible. Lottery tickets baby.
Yes, but he is also gonna make 20MM regardless. I'll save my sorrow for high school or college guys this happens to. Now, if he was a Blazer, I'd be sad, but for selfish reasons.
So far Embiids career highlights have been tweets he posted of him hitting in various celebrities and talking shit.
Whatever happened to injury free centers having long careers? Is there some guy with a tire iron waiting at the Draft headquarters every year?
i don't think you have to save your sorrow, pity, empathy, anger, lust or any emotion for a specific subset of bball player. We are human, theres plenty of feelings to go around. Just like I can mock SPD and HCP and still have plenty ridicule left over for BGD.
It just amazes me that NBA teams make such a huge investment in players, but they don't invest in better medical screening.
