Apparently his Grandmother in law is complaining to the league about Joel's fine for his altercation with Chandler. She's thinking of organizing a letter writing campaign.
I saw that story. I don't know how Joel feels about it, but I would hate to have my name to a story where my grandma is sticking up for me . . . Joel could be razzed for that in the locker room longer than we gave darizzle a hard time for not knowing the clock stop on a foul (idiot laker fan ) Knowing Joel (as a fan), he will probably take it all in stride and laugh it off. But can't you just hear garnett make a basket on joel and start asking him "is your grandma going to play defense for you too" or" is your grandma going to complain about that shot" or "too bad your grandma isn't here to help you bitch" or blah balh blah
I think Joel probably likes it...should be funny. See Joel get into it again with Kwame yesterday? hah
Yea I saw Joel get into it with Kwame . . . I was looking for his grandma to come out the stands and bail him out. You're xericx . . right?
Not me. I'd be happy to still have a grandmother around to write letters defending me. As for the KG stuff, if he brings family into it, I'd punch him in the face first, and deal with the aftermath later.
I think it's hilarious. Sadly, Przybilla can't laugh and say "see where I get my toughness from" since it's his wife's grandma.
Well there is the difference between me and you papa . . . I don't need my grandma to fight my battles. I
Needing is one thing, enjoying is another. My grandma is dead, but she was quite a fighter in her day. Came to America at 13 accompanied only by her 16 year old sister, worked in the sweatshops in garment industry, was the first Jew to get hired as a hospital housekeeper, fought for a union, fought for the workforce to integrate, joined the Communist Party, all this while raising 4 daughters in the depression as a widow. Bet she could give Joel's grandma, not to mention Kevin Garnett, quite a duel.
I think it is great that your grandmother is so strong. I hope that is a virtue that got passed down through the generations. I might be in the minority on this, if not the only one who feels this way, but no matter who my grandmother wis, I would want any complaints about the way I was treated on the job to come from me and not anyone else. Especially if I didn't complain about the issue, but a family memeber did. But appaerntly the other side is some would enjoy it if family members raised the complaints for them . . to each their own. I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it . . . in fact I said it would mostly be used to give Joel a hard time in a joking kind of sense.
