Its probably out there on the larger board but I'm interested in hearing from you guys. I think that its now 2007 and everyone needs to send the message to players and coaches in the "locker room" that they need to embrace gays and make it comfortable for those to reveal themselves rather than encourage the locker room to be the ultimate place for manliness. I believe that because after my discussions with gays in my early 20's, I realized that they view relationships no different than heterosexuals which was mind-blowing to me.
<div class="quote_poster">Warriorfansnc93 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">screw that, no pun intended...</div> ??? If you have a gay teammate, it doesn't make you gay. It doesn't mean you have to hook up with him, so what difference does it make? When I was a bit younger my response probably would have also been "screw that", but now that I've grown up, I don't know what my problem was. Now don't get me wrong, it makes me very uncomfortable when people flaunt-I know that's not the best word but it's the only one I can come up with right now- the fact that they are gay. But as long as he's not pushing his views on me, I could care less what someone's sexual orientation is.
First of all, I could care less if there are gays in the pros if they can ball. I just dont like gay people, especially the real flaming gay ones. I think these people make a choice to be gay and I think being gay is the most disgusting choice anyone can make. Its my opinion and no one is going to change that. Biologically it just does not make sense...
Woah, I'm not even sure if we should get more controversial in opinion here. We should probably close topic before this gets out of hand. I'm just saying it's probably best to stop before this gets bad.
Lock this thread. I've been on forums where they've had hundreds of pages of debate about this kind of thing.
I temporarily closed it. If you want it re-opened or maybe moved to the Warrior Lounge just shoot me a PM. It's also being discussed in the General NBA Forum for anyone interested in further commenting. Click Here
