I've been listening to alot of John Cena lately. He is a good rapper. He isn't great but he is defiantly underrated. Here are some of his songs:

I remember he had some line about Colgate [IMG]

Edit: Yeah, Kidd posted it the lyrics.

Btw, the beat on the second song isn't too bad though.

I love that first song. No what's pathetic, he's better than 99% of the rappers out there!

He actually isnt too bad, he's not good, but he doesnt suck either. I think he showed pretty decent flow in that first song you posted. Although his subject matter is pretty lame, especially considering he has no street cred.

I'd like to hear some opinions on why you guys think he is terrible?

I think its more the fact that its his wrestling gimmick rather than his actual profession is why you're hating on him so much, which I can understand, I dont take him seriously either, but the fact of the matter, wether he actually writes his raps or not, he isnt that bad.

Also is it just me, or does anyone else think he sounds a bit like Vinnie Paz (minus the talent) on that first song? Especially in the chorus.

Well he's not rapping about anything, that's obvious enough. But he doesn't even make up for it by being clever with his words or anything. They're simple statements with simple rhymes. And his songs aren't consistent or anything, because there's no real point to any of them. You could replace the bottom half of the 1st song's lyrics with the bottom half of the 2nd song's lyrics and it would barely be noticeable. Most of the time he's just writing stuff in to fill in the empty space.

Fair enough. Not saying I dont agree, just nice to see some reasoning behind why people might not like him, instead of the norm.
