Just saw toronto cleared him on waivers, i know hes not spectacular. But would it have been a decent gamble to take on him as a 6-7th dman?:crazy: or am i losing it? could have added a puck mover for 975k...

You're losing it. This team doesn't need defenseman or to add scrub vets. It needs to dump scrub vets to make room for a few superior young talents.

The current situation of the Rangers "is no direction". The preseason exposed that there was no offense, no defense and no goaltending (excpet for Talbot). AV HAS to call back some of those players that he sent down to Hartford, the near misses, lets call them, so hiring another D-man cant hurt. Liles isnt going to get a big contract anywhere he goes so why not NY. AV needs Talbot and send Biron packing and Hank doesnt have another preseason game to prove himself. IMO Hanks doesnt look near ready but too bad season starts in 2 or 3 days.

Liles could definately help the PP, so at worst I'd rather see him than Falk as the spare. I doubt they pick him up however.

Thats what im saying R71, i like falks physical presence, but from what i saw in the preseason it looked like he was chasing the play. Liles isnt the greatest by any stretch, but he could add a little more offense then falk and we all know what the PP is like with this team. hoping it improves with this coaching staff. be patient fells cant over haul the teams playing style in one preseason.

They need a little more pop offensively on the backend as Moore develops. DZ is hot and cold as we all know. Still no dman to run the PP.
