Newly crowned WBC/USNBC lightweight champion John Molina, Jr. claimed his title yesterday in a dominant performance against Mexico’s Alejandro Rodriguez. By use of his crafty right jab Molina, Jr. was able to bring down Rodriguez once in the last ten seconds of the first round and three times in the third round causing the referee to call the fight at 1:45. “The Gladiator” Molina, Jr. went on to improve his record to (22-1, 18KO’s).
