Pretty cool to see John Wetteland there today with Mariano. Crazy to think that Wetteland is just 3 years older than Mo and has been out of baseball since 2000.
I know, it just goes to show what a freak athlete Mo is. Is it that he has been blessed with good genetics or do you think that it is his dedication to training and throwing the same way for over 2 decades. I feel a closer position can allow for longevity if your mechanics are as good as Mo. They have been raving lately about Clairborne mechanics and on how it is so fluid and thus potentially injury free. But Mo has been a freak physically, except for one day in Kansas City!
It was nice to see John on the field again today, and not put 2 runners on right away, and make me reach for my chest for a change.
