The 49ers have cut WR Johnnie Morton and CB Ahmed Plummer. This means that most likely with their 1st round choice they will select a DB.

Plummer is a solid corner, he'll be picked up by someone, and should make an impact somewhere.

Plummer released?? I would think the Giants would be interested. Morton and plummer are a bit on the older side but theyre pretty good and think this was a stupid move unless they have a bad cap.

Plummer had tons of skills but just not really anyone good on the other side at corner. This is a huge blow to a horrible defense. I think they will draft Micheal Huff or Jimmy Williams.

or it means their going to use a high choice on a corner. If someone like DeAngelo Williams fell to them which I think he will they might have trouble passing landing a RB to help take some pressure off of Smith. If D'Brickashaw Ferguson somehow fell to them they'd probably take him.

Plummer is good when healthy, Maybe the Pack will go at him with an incentive based deal.

I was thinking the samething. We're in the market for a CB with Carroll getting arrested and let's face it he's just a bust in my opinion. Plummer and Harris would be an upgraded duo for sure and then maybe move Carroll in as the nickel back with Mike Hawkins as the dime back. though they need to show interest first.
