During filming of the promotional commercial for UFC 167, Johny Hendricks incurred second degree burns to his back. The filming took place last month in Los Angeles and came as a result of the lighting being placed too close to his back, MMA Fighting reports. Ted Ehrhardt, Hendricks' manager, stated that Johny tried to resume his training two days later, but was unable to because of the discomfort and pain he was experiencing. After a physician visit and a prescription of a healing ointment, he was able to return to training after a couple days, and was healed up in about a week.
