I actually like the Warriors, what are your thoughts on this though? http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawaka...tarring-martin-jamison-durant-and-don-nelson/
You guys should get a room! I did like the article, though I read it a while back for sure. I think there were some better (worse?) choices for the no-defense players but the ones he pointed out were definitely pretty bad. We need more players and coaches who really understand defense and don't just consider it a chore.
Lol yeah my bad. How far off do you really think you are? I liked your team when it was healthy, you just need Randolph to develop more and you have a decent foundation I think.
We're probably 3-4 years from the playoffs, and an entire rebuild away from the championship. Either case is basically forever in basketball terms. I'd just be glad to get the books fixed, to at least stand a chance.. but our financials are horrible. Some teams can say they're one superstar, or even one piece away from consideration. But we're not quite there, we have alot of players who are probably peaking right now, and are only at the serviceable level, and only 3 real good guys - Biedrins, Monta, and Randolph (who's only potentially good, not guaranteed). We have 3 potentially "I'd consider trading for them" players in Jackson, Azubuike and a shooting specialist with Morrow. We've got a few untouchables too, though - Maggette, Crawford. If we didn't have these two (and their contracts) I'd be alot more optimistic for an early recovery. However, you can't rebuild when you have 10 million pound weights sitting on you, stuck for a few years. Now, for the good (or at least decent, buildable) part of the Warriors foundation, that does come out to be 2-4 wings, a big, and a center. But they also are flawed just like alot of players... and none is a superstar. Randolph is our only hope and I think many fans are counting on him too much. Meaning we need to 1) improve at least 1 or 2 spots in the starting rotation by a large margin and 2) somehow continue to build the depth needed to be 8-9 deep full of actually solid players, be them role players or all around guys.
