The pre-fight test Jones failed also showed a testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio of 0.3:1. Healthy males typically have a ratio of 1:1. The commissions allow up to 6:1 to cover their bases. TRT cheaters and juicers like Sonnen have been caught with ratios exceeding 10:1. Having such low testosterone could be an indicator that Jones had recently cycled-off. The body struggles to produce testosterone after having it introduced externally or having internal production ramped-up with gear. To put it in perspective, Jones' result means he has about 170 ng/DL in his system, while you or another average Joe has 600 ng/DL. Men with low test can come in around 300 or less and are candidates for TRT. Jones' result means he has the testosterone production of a man with hypergonadism, or an elderly man. External factors such as drugs, alcohol, and excessive physical stress do not account for such a low result.
Georges St-Pierre cited rampant PED usage in the sport as one of the reasons he wanted enhanced testing, not to mention stepping away from the sport hoping it will be fixed. The problem might be as bad as GSP says.
I would not put it past him. This is the same guy who crashed his car while intoxicated, with one or two blonde passengers (that were not his wife). This is the same guy that was told to "go earn some fans." This is the same guy who portrays himself as a good, Christian family man, but acts the opposite. Jones has always been shady and always been fake, and he's been called out on it his entire career. I used to like him, but his arrogance is too much. I would not put it was him to use PEDs. In fact, the more news like this comes out, the more I agree with GSP.
Strip him for what? While this is evidence he probably has taken peds, it isn't a smoking gun. The ufc would be absolute morons to strip him of the belt without concrete evidence.
