The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with goalie Jonathan Bernier, who will back up starter Jonathan Quick.

The deal announced Monday puts Bernier under contract through the 2012-13 season. He had one year left on his current contract. He'll earn $975,000 in 2011-12 and $1,525,000 in 2012-13 for a total of $2.5 million, a source told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun on Monday.
