Comes in bottom 8, 1st and 3rd 1 out. Gets Michael Young looking. Teixeira to pop out. Punks the side 1-2-3 in the 9th.Kid is f*cking intense. Respect the Papelbon.

Yeah, he's garnered my respect as a NYY fan. He is real good.Don't go comparing him to Mo just yet, though. :dribble:

Believe me I have just as much respect for Mo as I do any MLB player. Pap is getting there though, and my god do I love it.

I'm so glad Pap is back at closer. We'd be a mess right now if we didn't have him closing games. Michael Young was shitting his pants last night against Papelbon's fastball. That was awesome, also you gotta love the intensity that kid has on the mound. He does have that killer focus that a Mariano would have.

We've got Joe Nathan, who in my opinion is the best closer in the league. I have loads of respect for BJ Ryan and Mo Rivera, but Nathan was almost flawless last year (36 saves in 38 attempts) and I'm a biased Twins fan.

top 5 closers I think:1. Mariano Rivera (doesn't get much more consistent)2. Francisco Rodriguez3. Joe Nathan (2 and 3 are interchangeable)4. Jonathon Papelbon5. Billy Wagnerthese are just the elite closers although Papelbon will need to prove his consistency after only pitching one year in the bigs.. the rest of these closers are proven and are just simply the best at what they do bar none
