ok ppl, robert horry (aka- cherry picker) is about to win another ring. and he is about to pass jordan with more rings. how embarassing would that be for the all time great. yeah sure mike got 6 rings, but the second string cherry picker got 7. i just wish the pistons' win even tho i dun like them...
This would be Horry's 6th ring, not 7th. But, it doesn't matter. The number of championship teams a player is a part of should not define their greatness. And screw this "cherry picker" crap. So he cares more about winning than maximizing his salary. We should criticize him for that?
the dude didnt even deserve those rings that he got..maybe the one vs. the queens. but wat im trying to say is how could a second string bench warmer pass or tie the all time great in the biggest prize ever
Megnkee Bateer = 1 NBA Ring John Stockton = 0 NBA Rings How many you have don't tell the story. How you got them defines who you are.

That's garbage. And players don't win championships. Teams win championships. No one in their right mind would say that Horry is as great a player as Jordan just because he also has 6 rings. So, what exactly are you getting all worked up about?

He has deserved all of these rings because he is one of the best clutch players of all time. I must say he has some great luck playing for some of the best teams of all time. 90's Rockets, 00-03 Lakers, todays Spurs. He's a great role player who has deserved everything in his career.

comon now, they woulda won with or without horry in the line up. shaq and kobe equals the whole team when they won their 3 ring..saying that some bench player won their championship, now thats garbage
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting playmaker31:</div><div class="quote_post">42 three's for a career? Thats not very much, I always thought he had more.</div> i think he means in the playoffs.

However, the reality is Horry did make clutch baskets and clutch defensive plays throughout his career. If people felt Horry won those championships than Horry would have been the MVP of those Finals. He's not, so just respect what he's done. A better question is, should Robert Horry make it to the HOF?

He is arguably the best clutch player of all time. I think he's a borderline HOF. I don't know f he has the stats to get in.
No, he won't make HOF. He's not even border-line. I don't think it's right for people to criticize Horry for signing with winning teams and being fortunate enough to get as many rings as he as. He's not claiming to be one of the all-time greats. He admits he's lucky to have played with so many great players. The guy is just about winning, and he's as good a role player as you can want. Every coach would love to have a player like Robert Horry on their team.

I think one of them might have even been an elimination game. I'd wager that the Lakers would NOT have won three championships in a row without Horry. He was arguably the third most important player on those teams.
