one thing I found interesting about his call up: Monty began this season ranked as the #13th top prospect by the Yanx..... ahead of Monty in rankings, (keep in mind Monty wasn't even in the top 205 prospects in mlb at years begin): Yank Pitching prospects ranked ahead of Monty: 44) James Kaprielian, RHP 58) Justus Sheffield, LHP 80) Chance Adams, RHP 81) Domingo Acevedo, RHP 106) Albert Abreu, RHP http://www.minorleagueball.com/2017/4/2/15154296/top-205-mlb-prospects-for-2017-opening-day-version http://www.minorleagueball.com/2017/4/12/15270074/jordan-montgomery-yankees-big-league-debut
Saw this kid pitch against Tampa during a spring training game, did very well, hoped he would make the team. Kid showed some nads yesterday when he struck out Longoria to finish his start. From the same area as another Yankee Champ Bobby Richardson. I did hear that the younger Yankees and veteran Matt Holliday could not wait to get to the big ballpark in the Bronx, put on the stripes, and play in front of the home crowd. Glad to see that attitude develop.
