<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">About nine months ago, the Orlando Magic had a chance to make the largest splash in sports. The franchise was being courted by the world's most recognizable basketball figure. The city of Orlando could have added somebody to its roster who is bigger than Shaquille O'Neal, Tracy McGrady and Mayor Buddy Dyer combined. Yes, Michael Jordan looked into trying to buy the Magic. So says the most reliable source around: The guy who currently owns the Magic -- Rich DeVos. "Yes, we heard from Michael indirectly," DeVos told me Friday night during halftime of the Magic-Nuggets game. "He was very interested, but Michael didn't want to put his own money into it. He never does." DeVos laughed at this point. Jordan served as president of basketball operations for the Washington Wizards and was a part-owner, although it never was determined how much of a monetary stake he had in the franchise.</div> Link
hehe I Guess everybody has been interested on buying the Magic , hopefully Shaq will end up buying them .
How could you be interested in buying them, but not wanting to put his own money in? Does he mean.. He wants someone else to go in on it with him.. Jordan could be a great owner in my opinion.. And I'am sure the fans would trust him more than Shaq..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TimFlem:</div><div class="quote_post">Man if MJ owned the Magic we'll have alot more fans then we do now. Same thing with Shaq.</div> You're right it would bring in a lot more fans. But it wouldn't really make a difference in the way they play or anything would it?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TMac_OwNz:</div><div class="quote_post">It sure will , we all know how they good they can be when they want to or are inspired.</div> not very. this team is very lacking IMO. It's a shame Doc took the fall for it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TMac_OwNz:</div><div class="quote_post">It sure will , we all know how they good they can be when they want to or are inspired.</div> See, I don't like that comment. A team should always be playing the best ball they can, and I don't have respect for players who don't give it all they've got. People say the Magic can be better, but as long as they don't play like it I would never agree with that. You're as good as the way you've played, and with the way Orlando has played this season, they stink.
Yes, we do stink. Honestly, most of the games we didn't play that bad. We just collapsed down the stretch. We were in most of the games, I know that doesn't mean anything since we didn't get any W's, but we definetely are better than the worst team. We've shown flashes beating Detriot and Indiana on the road, but we need to do that at a consistent basis. I think we could be back in the playoffs next year if we play as a team and Tmac kicks the ball in the stands every 5 games.(since that inspires us) jp. I do think that we could make the playoffs, we just need a vocal leader, we have a floor leader. Who will step up to that position?
Hopefully Grant Hill will. I know , the other guys never "play the best ball they can" consistenly. T-Mac always does , guess that's why we are how we are. This new guys have bring something new to the team I love that energy.
