<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett (20-5) will take on Hidehiko Yoshida (7-5-1) at the upstart World Victory Road organization’s show on March 5.

Barnett confirmed the fight with a recent MySpace bulletin.

The event takes place at the Yoyogi First National Gymnasium in Japan. It’ll be the debut show for the organization.

World Victory Road launched in 2007 soon after Zuffa LLC (the UFC’s parent company) purchased — and disbanded — PRIDE. Last week the organization signed highly ranked lightweight fighter and former PRIDE lightweight champion Takanori Gomi, who will also be a part of the March 5 even</div>

Barnett will fight Aleksandar Emelianenko in Chicago in the spring/early summer as well.

bah, there's only 1 challenge for barnett outside the UFC and that's Fedor. He'll mutilate anyone else.
maybe Hunt but I doubt it.
have you heard anything about Hunt at all?

Seems content to enjoy his earnings for the time being. Probably see him back in K-1 after long.

just read somewhere else that he was asked to fight on the K-1 NYE event but was asking for too much.
said he'd like to fight in the UFC but most likley wants too much $$$.
I don't see him as a contender vs all the wrestlers in the UFC.

"Expect to see Mark fighting again soon, and under 265lbs! I trained with him yesterday and noticed that his fitness has improved. He is looking to fight mma again not kickboxing!
A strong and fit Mark Hunt is going to be a nightmare for anyone! "
