Boston Red Sox starter Josh Beckett left Monday's 1-0 extra-inning loss against the Toronto Blue Jays in the bottom of the fourth inning with a sprained right ankle, the team announced. Beckett, who had pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings with six strikeouts before the injury, appeared to have caught the foot on the area just in front of the pitching rubber when delivering a pitch to Blue Jays rookie Brett Lawrie.
