As of right now, Manu Ginobili is better. I like Howard more, and Howard will end up better (give it another year or 2), but as of right now Ginobili is better. He flops and people don't like him, but he can do a lot of things. He's a good passer, he can shoot the ball, he's a good very solid defender (minus the flopping/acting), he doesn't care about his touches, he has been an All-Star, he has made clutch plays. Howard is one of my favorite SF's in the NBA, but he's not there yet. But again, give it another year or 2.
I made this thread so I can disagree. lol Outside shooting goes to Ginobili but I think Howard has a very reliable inside shot. The best part of Howard is his rebounding ability as a SF. Neither are great defenders and Ginobili is breaking down because of playing all year. He hasn't been an allstar in 2 years.
I'll take Howard, and it's not that close to me.Besides Ginobli hitting the outside shot, something Howard is doing great since the end of last season, almost as good as Ginobli, he's a better defender(even if he doesn't flop),and is more of a force on rebounds and isn't that far off in the steal department behind Ginobli.

On the other hand Ginobili is on the decline, back in the 04-05 Spurs dominant season, his average was up at 16 near 17, he is down 12-13 now, while Josh Howard is always on the rise. Also, Howard is a swingman player you can rely on. I watched him play against the Raptors, and like in the Finals last year, played with alot of confidence, and wasnt scared to penetrate it off the dribble. He is just not agressive enough, like Manu, who is smaller, and gets to the line more. The differance is that Ginobili has more experience, and shows veteran like qualities at times, and can be a player you rely on. My overrall pick would go to Howard, just because his game is always getting better, and is been in the NBA for a shorter time than Ginobili, so you can expect his point average to be in the 20+ in a couple of years, which will help Dallas in the future. Hes also a 46% shooter, compard to Ginobili, who is a 41% shooter. He is always one of thos "self-made men" of the NBA, no one recognized him until the past couple seasons, when he stepped it up for Dallas so much.

considering Josh howard is already a better player, and manu is 30, I think you know who the obvious choice is.
