Juan Perez is trying to convince the San Francisco Giants to keep him around when injured center fielder Angel Pagan returns from the disabled list. A couple more performances like this one, and it's going to be hard to return him to the minors. Perez threw out a runner at the plate and then hit a tiebreaking single with two outs in the eighth, helping the Giants end the San Diego Padres' seven-game winning streak with a 5-4 victory on Tuesday night.
