    Jazz next 4 games

    Detroit
    Indiana
    @ Portland
LA Lakers (Malone better not miss this one)

They've already passed the first test in beating Sacramento at the Arco Arena. So this week should show if the Jazz are contenders or pretenders for the playoffs, which they are only 2 games out of.

    Contenders...in the east

Very doubtful if they will make the playoffs this season. When you have Minnesota, Dallas, San Antonio, Denver, Houston, and Memphis in your conference, things could look bleak. Not to mention the Lakers, and Kings are already locked for a playoff position.

Great season for the Jazz, the west is just too damn good for them.

Denver is struggling, so I wouldn't count them as a sure spot in the playoffs

So as of right now the Jazz are contenders

Firstly, every single Western Conference team but Phoenix has a better record than the East's 6th best team, the New York Knicks. The Jazz would almost be a lock in the east.
Denver is struggling right now, and things wont get better playing the Spurs in San Antonio even with Tim Duncan. The Jazz are on a 3 game winning streak, Nuggets a 4 game losing streak. I'm still not convinced that this is the start of a playoff run though, they beat Seattle twice (which they should do), and got a big upset win at Sacramento which they almost threw away. The next 4 games will give a big indication of how good the Jazz are right now, and they've got to win their home games like they used to.

Do you really think the TrailBlazers can hold it together for the rest of the season? They're and up and down team so I wouldn't say their playoff bound until they actually get in the top 8 and show they can stay there.

^ Darius Miles has played well off the bench of late. If ZR can keep up the pase, then yes, the Trailblazers are contenders.

Yes the Blazers/Nuggets/Jazz are going to be in a dogfight for the 8th seed for the Western Conference
