<span style="color:#330033">Junior Seau retirement may be short, looks to Pats</span>THE ASSOCIATED PRESS<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Junior Seau is looking to join the New England Patriots, just three days after the San Diego Chargers threw him a lavish retirement party."Junior left a message for Chargers President Dean Spanos today alerting him that he may sign a contract and play for the New England Patriots," the Chargers said Thursday in a statement. "If, in fact, he chooses to continue his playing career, we wish him good health and the best of luck this season. Junior's place in the Chargers Hall of Fame awaits him when his career is over."The San Diego Union-Tribune first reported on its Web site that Seau was heading to Boston for a tryout and could sign by the end of the week. Seau's agent, Marvin Demoff, did not return several calls from The Associated Press.Reached in Chicago, where the Chargers will play the Bears on Friday night, Spanos declined comment.</div>What do you guys think about this? I think it's great that Junior Seau wants to still play but I would rather him stay retired because if he already has had a great career but near the end, he was injured a lot, but I guess, one can never give up the game they love... :g: Besides, if MJ can make a comeback so can Seau. :beerchug:

Oh well, let the Patriots have fun with him, they'll soon realize he has nothing left. They could use some more inside line-backer depth, but Seau isn't going to help much, he's nothing more than a voice in the locker room.

we dont even want him to play full time linebacker..we just need him when people like bruschi are injured...so we at least have a LITTLE presence..he isnt even gunna be starting

Even though he's had a great career, I doubt he'll bring much of a presence to the Patriots. His game has definitely declined over the years ever since his injuries started...But he'll definitely be a great leader in the locker room and on the field...
