Jiri Welsch traded! It's true. Juri welch has been traded for picks. I'll look for more info. But for now, just know he's been traded. <font color="DarkRed">(Let's make sure we get this stuff done right when reporting them. In your rush to be the first to report it, you spelled both the players first and last name wrong. Let's get it done right folks, please)</font>
To the Cleaveland Cavaliers for a first round pick, year not specified. It's a steal if you ask me (for the Cavs). I don't need a link. I know news before anyone else. I knew the Shaq report was a lie. but if you must............... http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/index
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Cavaliers addressed their need for an outside shooter Thursday by acquiring guard Jiri Welsch from the Boston Celtics for a 2007 first-round draft pick. ESPN Insider Chad Ford reports the Cavs acquired Welsch using a $1.5 million trade exception. Welsch, who started for Boston earlier this season, should help the Cavaliers improve their 3-point shooting. The club is 27th out of 30 teams in the NBA on 3-pointers. Welsch has made 32 of 99 3-point attempts this season. Welsch, 25, was dropped from the Celtics' starting lineup last month when the team changed its rotation. He's likely to come off the bench for the Cavaliers, whose reserves have scored just 14 points in Cleveland's last two games. The No. 16 overall pick in the 2002 draft by Philadelphia, Welsch also has played for Golden State and Dallas.</div> Welsch
Bad trade for the Cavaliers next year they will have the best rookies in a while hakeem bogut simien nate robinson tre simmons will conroy(2nd round) salim stoudemire channing frye etc, etc, etc, but for now its a good trade so they will have a sg and lebron can get more assists.
They don't have it in 05 it's 07. Anyway, bad trade for the C's and the Cavs wont get a lottery so they wont be so prosperous in the draft.

I'd also suggest you read my edit in your first post. This is not a race to report trades. If you feel that way, fine but at least get information correct please. The Cavs have no pick this year and can't package 1st rounders back to back years, so the first year they'd have one available is '07. The likelyhood that it would be worth anything before then is unlikely anyways. Jiri was in the wrong place at the wrong time. With the development of Tony Allen, Jiri is a nice player on a team with 2 guys better than him playing his position. Jiri might get more of a chance in Cleveland to play a back up roll. Dannyboy gets another pick to be able to package in a future deal. It works for both teams.
