Texas Rangers infielder Jurickson Profar, baseball's No. 1-ranked prospect, according to ESPN.com's Keith Law, has informed the club that he will not participate in the World Baseball Classic. General manager Jon Daniels indicated Tuesday that Profar, 20, will come to spring training with a chance to compete for a roster spot.
