    I see numerous people in here using the term FAMS.

    What context are you using this term and what started it?

    As with most goofy things on this board, HCP is the originator of the FAMS closing for a post. I assume that he meant it in a nice way as short for family. After all he's been gracious in sharing the missus with the board.

    Actually, HCP uses it referencing long gone but not forgotten banned poster BenDavis500, a perhaps somewhat misguided DIY social engineer with strong preferences and strong dislikes pertaining to the micro-society in his chosen piece of heaven, which I believe was Beaverton.

    It comes from the infamous FAM thread!!!!!! The best and most entertaining thread in the history of S2! This wanna be thuglife was on here screaming and yelling at people about how he had been to jail and none of us had and that gave him street crew and made his opinions that much more weighted. He was using the term FAM......every other word and it was AMAZING!!!!!!

    One of the best reads if you have the time and can find it. I BUMPED it last year I think....... #InstantClassic FAMS!

    There is a Toyota Prius in Portland with the blue cyclists license plate and it says FAMS on it. Had a couple different people on here see it and post pics on here!

    I've always known what fam meant I just wondered why so many people were using it. I just read through that thread and I understand completely now.
