On, All-Star difficulty, 10 minute quarters, against the Grizzlies, Kevin Garnett put up 30 points, 26 rebounds, and 20 assists in 36 minutes! This is unbelievable. What are some of your career highs in 2K8?
Holy god, nothing close to that. I had 20 assists with Kidd once, and dropped 52 points with Carter, but neither one had that complete of a game.
I went for 101 with my non-maxed out created player in a game earlier on All Star difficulty, hitting 15/21 from the arc. He also had 12 boards and 13 assists. I also just went off for 77/11/19 with him, hitting 7/10 from the three, and this was on Superstar difficulty. Not too long ago landed a quadruple double - 42pts/12/rbnds/11stls/13assts, also on Superstar. Those have been my best performances. And just so you know, his overall is only about 95 or so, and that's because it's gone up in my dynasty mode. If we throw him out the window, I had a 20/20 game with one of Quincy Dunn (drafted center), and also dropped 42 in with Rob Parks (drafted player). However, I like to think my best accomplishment is I'm sitting pretty at 62-0 in my season, well on my way to a perfect season.
My best game was with Garnett as well, I believe it was 51/9/5. I've also had a 20-rebound game with KG once, and two or three triple-doubles. Out of association, I've racked up 18 assists with Deron Williams and got my high for blocks (5) with Kirilenko in the same game. My steals record is 7 I believe, and it's either with Garnett or Ray Allen. My 3-point record is 8 with Ray Allen.
You know, I haven't even played outside of Association, haha. My records look like this: 101 points, 20 rebounds, 31 assists, 6 blocks, 11 steals, 15 treys made, and 193 points scored, with all but the 193 points being with individuals.
Nice realism there, lol. Points: 41 (Pau Gasol) Rebounds: 18 (Pau Gasol) Assists: 19 (Jason Kidd, before I traded him) Blocks: 5 (Pau Gasol)
Haha, I know, I'm working on realism, it's just difficult for me to find. I'm playing on the 2nd hardest difficulty yet I'm still scoring at will. My shooting sliders aren't even that ridiculous, all in the low 50s except inside shooting, which is over 60, otherwise I miss every layup known to man. If anyone has any slider recommendations, that'd be nice.

I shoot between 43-49% on most nights.
I'm thinking of adjusting them down, but I don't know if I want to toy with the inside shooting one. When I had that at default, I would literally blow wide open fast break layups. Even with the current settings I still miss seemingly too many layups, but I live with it.
I don't have any problems finishing on the break. It's tough when I try to take it to a center with a small guard, but it should be like that. I've played well over 100 games, and I've probably missed 2 or 3 wide open layups. That's realistic - it happens from time to time.

I had 101 points with Eddy Curry before. He topped it off with 8 rebounds (how typical). Nate Robinson once had 40 assists. I also had 11 steals with him that night. I'm not a good rebounder, so my career high is low (around 15 I think). I once had 17 blocks with Kelvin Cato. 12 turnovers too.
In NBA 2K1, I had Marbury have a 105 pt game against the Lakers. Once I had a Magic-Hornet game going with 10 overtimes, with both teams scoring over 200 pts. When I was playing with the Spurs, Tim Duncan won the game with a 90 footer one handed heave.
