He's another offensive pg which is not what L.A needs Earl Watson is better for team Kobe because he plays defense and shares the ball unlike Daniels who is a shh

How do you figure Daniels does not distribute the ball? In reality if you go by numbers he is one of the best point guards in the league he ranked second in assists to turnovers ratio this season, and is a former NBA champion so obviously he has done something right. He is a bigger guard then Earl Watson so that alone makes him a better fit for the Lakers and the triangle offense. The Blazers in reality did not need him though they have Jack, Sebastian, and maybe Nick Van Excel so why get another point guard?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Seattle SuperSonics suffered another free-agent defection Tuesday night when guard Antonio Daniels reached a verbal agreement with the Washington Wizards on a five-year contract worth an estimated $30 million.

Daniels was also a prime target of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Tony Dutt, Daniels' Houston-based agent, said Daniels will join the Wizards as soon as the moratorium on free-agent signings is lifted Friday, which the league has scheduled as the first day free agents can sign new contracts.

"The more we talked with Washington, we just felt very comfortable," Dutt said. "When Larry Hughes went to Cleveland, it just became a perfect fit for Antonio."

Daniels will join Caron Butler as the Wizards' two-pronged answer to the loss of Hughes, who is coming off a breakout season. Team officials are forbidden from commenting on the signing until the moratorium is lifted, but NBA front-office sources indicate Washington was drawn to Daniels for his playoff experience, athleticism and defensive skills. </div>

What are you saying when you mention those 5 names? They are on different teams...

    Caron, Daniels = Wiz.

    Lebron, Hughes, Z = Cavs.

Uhhh... yeah. Is this referring to the player movement or something?

If this is true then the lakers are f*cked. WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT MARKO JARIC????? Or Earl Watson...everyone keeps mentioning them but I don't know a thing about them. How and why are they a good fit for the lakers, and do we have any chance of signing either of them? Right now the lakers have no pg. This is exquisite...

Sorry, my train of thought was out of line. I didn't complete my post earlier. yes, player movement. Alot of teams seem to be making big moves while the Lakers still need alot of holes to fill. Good FA's are getting slim.

Daniels is now a Wizard, so the Lakers need Jaric. I think they'll get him to.
