Re: Justin Blalock's Bowl Game <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Iowa jumped out to an early lead in the Alamo Bowl, forcing Texas to throw the ball more than it would have under normal circumstances and giving Blalock a chance to showcase his pass blocking. The potential first-rounder took advantage by moving his feet well and using his powerful upper body to keep the Hawkeyes' defensive linemen at bay. In addition, Blalock continued to drive defenders off the ball when the Longhorns ran behind him.At the start of the season it appeared that Blalock would have to move guard to be successful in the NFL, but that might not be the case. Blalock showed enough foot speed and athletic ability to get an opportunity to push for playing time at right tackle. If he doesn't work out on the perimeter, he can stay inside, where he has shown the necessary skills and tenacity to develop into a force. The biggest keys for his offseason will be his conditioning and his health.</div>
Re: Justin Blalock's Bowl Game I'm still not sold on him as a Tackle, I think he'd be a better fit at guard personally. Either way though, I like the player and I'm sure the Jets could find some room for him.
