pretty sure that was a two year(half of the four year mentioned) with a team option on the second year? not a big contract in my book.
I know I’ve said in the past this is who he is and exactly why he never stays on teams long after he left Miami
sorry if this has already been posted i believe that the procedure is actually a surgery. Trail Blazers Medical Update March 17, 20233:29 PM PDT PORTLAND, Ore. (March. 17, 2023) – Trail Blazers forward Justise Winslow sustained a left ankle sprain Dec. 21 at Oklahoma City. Post All-Star break, Winslow received a second opinion, and a subsequent bone morrow aspirate concentrate procedure was performed in March to address continued left ankle discomfort. He will continue his rehab regimen and be re-evaluated in the coming weeks.
At his price I'd keep him for bench depth if his ankle heals. Not a lot of vets with his skill set that come that cheap.
This is exactly what they need. More ping pong balls. We don't need him back anyway, but he needs to be gone next year.
That is too bad. I like his physicality for his position. But it is hard to ignore his weird ass injuries. Still, for the cheapest vet salary possible, (1.5? ) I would still consider bringing him back next year if the medical staff felt good about it.
I read that as "upload him" at first. Like, he'd be more useful as an AI chat bot than as a basketball player, at this point.
We don't need him this season anyway. When he was on the court, he was helpful. And we need helpful players next season.
Bring him back for a cheapo deal <= 4mm. Let someone else sign him for more. If you’re interested in unloading him take a peek at the list of non-bird UFAs out there and lmk who you prefer.
Yeah if he puts a full season together at some point healthy he is well worth the money. Not sure losing a roster spot on a guy like him will hurt at all.
