The Nuggets have been reluctant to discuss a contract extension with Kenyon Martin, leading the power forward to reveal his disappointment to the media.

"I don't want to be a free agent, actually," Martin said this week. "It's a touchy topic. I have no problem with Al (Harrington). I love Al. But me and him play the same position. I think I've helped around here. I just feel that they could have extended that offer to me. I'm happy for Al, though. But I feel that what I've done and things that we accomplished as a team around here got overlooked a little bit."

Martin was then asked what he foresees Denver's plan as being.

"I don't know what the plan is, but it don't seem like it includes Kenyon past this year," Martin said. "But you know me. I'm going to strap them up when it's time."
