It was the first change Bickerstaff has made since sending out his original starting five against the Washington Wizards on Thursday. The Bobcats started 0-3 in the preseason, and Hart struggled to run the offense Tuesday night in New Jersey"</div> Do you think Kapono should be the opening day starter at SG?
charlotte already has minimal offensive skills. they need someone to come off the bench to provide scoring. if they add kapono to the lineup, then no one off the bench can score. therefore he is better off as 6th man until other bench players can proove they can score and contribute too. also, kapono @ sg? thats gonna kill him. hes too slow to play the 2. any other sg out there will run circles around him. he should stick w/ the 3 spot. if anything, they should put kapono @ the 3 and move wallace to the 2. but as i said before, just leave kapono on the bench
Kapono could start at SG, but be responsible for guarding the opposing SF, and switch Wallace on the SG. I think the Bobcats are looking at Kapono to start, because he's the best shooter the team has. Kapono gives them a player capable of shooting behind the arc consistently, and he's very good at getting to the free throw line, where he shots in the high 80's. As for offense off the bench, they do have Eddie House to provide them with an offensive spark. Tamar Slay will also give them some points off the bench.
Wallace is going to start at the 2, isn't he? Jason Kapono should definitely be out there, regardless of whether they play him at the 2 or 3.
I say start Kapono. He would give them a good three point option. He is the only real 3 point option they have, so they might as well put him out at the 3.
