Nuggets coach George Karl expects the team to waive his son, Coby Karl, by Sunday. The younger Karl's contract will become fully guaranteed for the 2010-11 season if he isn't waived by Sunday's deadline. Denver has until Aug. 15 to make decisions on the contracts of both Karl and Brian Butch.
