I never thought he could make the transition to PG, but watching him in the first half tonight, I may have been wrong. If he keeps improving I would be all over him as a back up pG for the Blazers. This kid can flat out score. (Young: 9-of-12 shooting including 5-of-7 in threes; 2-for-2 in FTs, Four rebounds, six assists and only one turnover and 25 big points at the half)

It's early but the player to keep an eye on is Rashad Vaughn. His skillset is very Brandon Roy-esque. His stepback jumper looks identical to Roy's.
It is kind of funny but last year I said I would love to get Delon Wright, and as of now nbadraft.net has him slotted to go to Portland. He is the 6'5" pg from Utah and is the brother of Dorrel. My guess is he will be gone by the time the Blazers pick but it might be close.

If these guys were good last year, I can see why you'd want to keep an eye on them. However, big schools are playing nonconference tiny schools and racking up huge stats. I'll wait for conference play to get too excited.
The difference for Young is he did not play PG last year and he is too small for a NBA SG. So if he shows he can man the point then he will end up being one to keep an eye on. True that non conference games can be miss leading but Coppin State returned 5 seniors who had no problem beating OSU last year in Corvallis. Plus wasn't the lack of competition the excuse for many who did not want to draft Lillard? I think Young can score against anyone, but I fully admit his PG skills need to be proven over a whole season. I was just surprised at well he looked last night.
I'm very excited to see how far Young can take us this season. Dude can score with the best of them, has a little Aaron Brooks in him.
Not far. I love my Ducks but with only one current healthy player that could be considered a pf/c, not much room for foul trouble or other injuries. They will get worn down. Maybe if Chandler came back heathy and effective but even then there is not much depth.
