According the the Associated Press, the Mets were among several suitors for RHP Keith Foulke, who recently agreed to a 1-year contract with the Oakland Athletics. “Foulke auditioned for about 20 teams in Phoenix last month. He also considered offers from the Arizona Diamondbacks, San Diego Padres and New York Mets.” While spring training is rapidly approaching, but the Mets know the bullpen is still a bit of a question mark. They made a run at a cheap arm that’s had some success late in games in the past.
