After 14 years in the NBA, Kendall Gill announced that he's going to pursue a career as a prizefighter, according to the Chicago Tribune. He's scheduled to make his ring debut in the 200-pound weight limit cruiser-weight division June 25. What do you guys think?

He's gonna be out of luck after he gets he's face messed up, cuz no one in the NBA wants a player with concusions, next it's the NHL for him if they comeback. He should have stayed and Box Ron Artest.

I might actually pay to see this.I bet he'll give some dudes problems in the ring. You have to realize he was an athelete on the highest level, and can afford the best of everything that would prepare him for this.Haha he might be legit.

^ You have a good point, but when a NBA player joins the NHL, I'll go watch that. This is almost like Brock Lesnar trying out for the Vikings last year.

I think it would be pretty cool if he boxed well, but I agree that an NBA team wont want a guy with concussions.

He'll be the Steve Young of the NBA, he'll probably be in a retirement home with Muhammad Ali in no time.

This 6-5 cruiserweight is a bully lol. He won his first fight against 5-10 Trevor Biley and knocked him out in the first round. He says that he wants one more fight before returning to the NBA.

I believe that Gill could probably be a pretty decent boxer, because of his size he would have a big reach advantage over his opponents. I think he will not into anhuge problems until he faces a large opponent with his reach.

Kendall Gill is one of those cats that gets bored when he isnt playing basketball. They reported back in the day that during the 99' lockout he became a stripper. And now he is to old to be effective in the league and his NBA career is over, he wants to box. I guess he just has to be doing something, no matter ridiculous.
