Texas Longhorns wide receiver Kendall Sanders was arrested for driving while intoxicated early Saturday morning, according to Brazos County Sheriff's records.

The 18-year-old Sanders was transported to the Brazos County Detention Center by Texas A&M police at 5:10 a.m. Saturday morning. He was released on a $3,000 bond at 7:43 a.m. on Saturday.

"We're aware of Kendall's situation, have talked with him and his family, and are disappointed any time one of our players is accused of wrongdoing," coach Mack Brown said in a statement. "We take a strong stance against drinking and driving and will continue to monitor this situation to get more details. Following the completion of the legal process, we will do what's best for the university, Kendall and the team. One thing we have great pride in about our program is our family atmosphere and there also will be discipline handled within our family."

Sanders, a sophomore, is the third Texas player to run afoul of the law since February. Quarterback Connor Brewer was arrested for public intoxication and minor possession on February 2. Wide receiver Cayleb Jones is accused of aggravated assault against Texas tennis player Joey Swaysland and is due in court on April 22.
