Citing a league source, the Daily News reported that the Yankees plan to bring Kennedy, 23, back from the minors in time to start Saturday's road game against the Los Angels Angels of Anaheim. However, the newspaper also reported that there is a chance that New York could start struggling righthander Darrell Rasner (5-8, 5.23 ERA) in Chamberlain's spot. Chamberlain, who is 4-3 with a 2.63 ERA this season, left Monday's 9-5 loss to the Texas Rangers in the fifth inning after feeling discomfort in his right shoulder. He is scheduled have the shoulder examined on Wednesday by famed surgeon Dr. James Andrews, an indication that the injury could be serious. Kennedy has spent a majority of 2008 in the minors after posting an 0-3 record and 7.41 ERA in nine games - eight starts - with the Yankees and spending a stint on the disabled list with bursitis. However, in nine games - eight starts - with Scranton, Kennedy has gone 4-2 with a 2.14 ERA, including a 3-0 mark and 1.33 ERA in his last four starts.</div> Could the Joba injury be a blessing in disguise? Maybe he misses two starts, Kennedy does well, and Joba replaces Karstens. Or maybe Kennedy does terribly, and he loses all value.
Kennedy is not doing well in we're in the first inning. He gave up 2 runs. Hopefully, that's all he gives up.
He pitched ok... but he gave up too many runs and was pulled again... in the 3rd inning... rasner didnt pitch that bad i was impressed
