<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It was one of those plays that had everyone in the locker room buzzing after the game.

Kenyon Martin was playing help defense on Jamal Mashburn on the left wing. He switched over to the top of the key to play some more help defense up top, then saw Darrell Armstrong getting the ball in the right corner, where he was loading up for a 3-pointer.

Martin leapt from somewhere near the top of the key -- or was it somewhere near Weehawken? -- and swatted the shot attempt about eight rows deep.

"Kenyon Martin was Superman," coach Lawrence Frank said. "I've never seen a block like that, guarding five people on one possession."</div>

The thing that was so crazy was because he also help Trap baron Davis as he brung the ball up. And it also helped that Darrell Armstrong shot release seem to be in slow motion. But its just another amazing jaw dropping play by K-mart. His effort & impact plays are starting to become exspected. I think everybody on the Nets bench knows that if their is a need for an amazing impact play, its going to be either Kidd or K-mart to provide it for us. The way his game keeps growing from his bearcat days till now is amazing. Rob thorn stop playing with this mans paper. What else does he have to do to prove that he is the heart & sole of the Nets?

As much as I hate his attitude, there is no doubt of how good he is. He always improves, even though he isn't the center, he'll do the blocking for you guys. His shot is even starting to improve, once his mid range becomes deadly, he'll be even more feared. He's one of the players who still plays well even when coming from big injuries, like the one he took in college, same goes for Dwayne Wade.

You all should have seen this play. Man, that was really something. The Nets are really something. K-mart had 4 blocks including that one. Who else can guard 5 players in one possession? He was all over the court. After the block, the ball was still in play. The Nets defense swarmed the player (I forgot who- Magloire I think) who got the ball and they forced a travelling violation.

KMart has matured a lot since his younger years, I hate the guy as a person (he's a Bearcat, I am a Warrior fan) I have to applaud the growing up he has done this past year, he is an animal. Or maybe he is on some pills to control his temper

Hahah. You can bet that he's not taking any pills. It's called maturity. Add that to his passion and talent for the game and he's a scary player. A scary max player.

I'm sure it would be in some top plays of the week.

Anyone else notices the drop in K-Mart's celebration after a great play? He'll just give a short "WHOO!" and a pump of fist and that's it. He could've flashed his heart after that play and no one will criticize him for it. Coz that's his game, heart.

    ^ Not again...

Zo let it go and he was targetted with the comment so I'm sure it's not that bad. Why couldn't you?

Saw the play in NBA Action, although it wasn't in their top 10 Courtside Countdown...

I read he had another great play:
    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
With Miami trailing 88-85, Heat rookie Dwyane Wade drove the right baseline with 20 seconds left, but Martin ripped the ball out of Wade's hands in midair.

Martin also grabbed 15 rebounds for his 25th double-double of the season.

This guy is simply amazing this season!

I don't remember the LaPhonso Ellis one. Was it the one where he grabbed the ball with two hands? Coz if I remember it correctly, KMart got the ball with one hand first then he plucked it with two. Imagine someone grabbing a rebound but not catching the ball with two hands.

if I visualize it correctly they're pretty similar. LaPhonso grabbed it with one hand also, if I remember it right.

that wasn't cool of k-mart, i thought it was a below the belt shot when i heard about it, but i don't think he should be shot for it, i could be wrong...

That block was crazy. I can't believe it got #2 though, even if Baron put it down over JO. One of the best blocks I have seen in my life

How about his clutch free throws with 30+ seconds left to ice the game for the Nets? To go with his 28 points? [IMG]

He also showed his maturity. He was hacked by Nene and cooled down because he realized that he had to. [IMG]

Yeah we should pretty much thank Nene for that stupid bear hug he put on K-mart, cause up to that point the Nets couldnt score at all in the 4th. K-mart had to bit his teeth to prevent himself from hitting that cat with a 2 piece. He showing growth again & again.

K-mart ,had to make those two free throws because

#1 it was a one possession game. Those free throws made it a 2 possession game.

#2 Kidd missed his 2 free throws after that, so if he would have missed his free throws, then that 3 Lenard made at the end of the game would have been for the win. The Nets wouldve more than likely defended that play a little bit different if they were only up by two. But the way Earl Boykins was getting in the lane all 4th quarter, he would have still been able to break down the Nets D & kick it out to Lenard like he did.
