Kenon Johnson or Nassir Little for Bol Bol works from a dollar trade standpoint throw in a second rounder to sweeten the deal
Trade would help give us insurance at the center position and give Drew time to play PF against bigger teams if necessary.
Sure, I would take any of Orlando's bigs besides Carter because I don't know if he'll ever be able to get healthy but the same thing could be said for Nas. That being said I think we'd have a hard time getting Bol away from them, I think Wagner is someone they want to build around, both Carter and Bamba have contracts that would be difficult for us to match.
I would trade Little but not sure about Keon. I guess with GPII he becomes redundant I just like his upside. I wish Little could stay healthy. :-(
Whats interesting is we have I believe 4 second round picks in 2024. It would be nice to leverage that many picks since that is way more than we need.
If they would take Keon and a second rounder for Bol that would balance our roster instantly. Bol could play backup minutes next to Jerami and Nurk.
We will likely only have one. Our pick is already gone to the Kings who traded it to the Bucks. The Atlanta pick only conveys if they have one of the five worst records in the league. You may be mistaking the fact that we get the better pick between Charlotte's and Minny's but we only get one of them not both... just whichever one is higher. So just one pick that is likely to convey but if we could get Bol for Keon and the 2024 second rounder from either the Hornets or Wolves, I would do that in a heartbeat because as much as Keon looks like he could be better than Bol in the future, Keon is redundant on our roster and what Bol would bring are some things we are in desperate need of.
I don't know if they'll shop him but they are rumored to be shopping Bamba, Harris and Ross pretty hard. What can happen a lot of times in these situations is that we talk to them regarding Bamba but can't make the salaries work but then move on to what we could make work. If they are interested in Keon then maybe him and a second rounder gets the job done for Bol and they keep Bamba as a backup. Oh and I don't think the Magic want the players that are going to get them wins right now. So the fact that he's been playing so well for them may excite them for his future in a way that makes him harder to get but wins he may get them this season might be a good reason for them to move him.
He's been their best player and they're still losing because their overall roster composition sucks. Even if they're tanking, I can't see any reason why they would be interested in dealing a cheap young starter who is perfect for today's NBA game, especially for a package so miniscule as our 12th man.
They’re 9-20. I don’t know why Bol would go less than what UTA is expecting for Vando. Just seems too far fetched for me to even give mind to right now unless reports come out that they’re shopping him. I’d give up multiple 2nds to get him in addition to Nas or Keon.
Finally right with his health and in shape, Bol is balling this year. I see he signed a cheap 2 year deal this past offseason. The only reason I could see the Magic dealing him is if he's already let them know he won't be resigning (unlikely) and someone offers them quality starting talent they like. Forget or, I don't think Keon & Nas would be enough to draw their interest. STOMP
