<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>There figures to be a roster makeover in New York, and media speculation is already swirling about a Knicks-Suns deal. One paper had the Knicks trying to coax Steve Nash to Manhattan -- where he lives in the summer -- while another had Mike D'Antoni trying to dump high-priced guard Stephon Marbury while bringing in favorites Leandro Barbosa and Boris Diaw.
Steve Kerr responded to those reports on KTAR radio with tongue firmly in cheek.

"I think it makes sense to move Amaré Stoudamire and Steve for Marbury and Eddy Curry," Kerr said. "Come on. Since Mike is now the coach of the Knicks, does he just get to take all of our guys, too? I don't think it works that way."</div>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Camera flashes lit up the Garden Theater as Stephon Marbury embraced new Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni Tuesday. That's as close as Marbury may get to D'Antoni, as the point guard knows he might not be a Knick when the 2008-09 season tips off.

"If I'm here, I'm here," Marbury said. "If I'm not, I could do it someplace else. I'm just getting my mind and my body right. I love New York, but if I wasn't going to be here, I wouldn't be here."</div>
