<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Titans | K. Collins wants to still playThu, 29 Jun 2006 05:45:21 -0700Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports free agent QB Kerry Collins (Raiders) has decided he still wants to play in the NFL. Those who know Collins said he is interested in signing with another team this coming season, and the most likely candidate is the Tennessee Titans, who need another veteran quarterback to complement QB Billy Volek. Talks between the Titans and Collins are expected to heat up just before training camp. There's still a chance Collins could balk at the Titans offer if it's not enough, but the way it sounded this week was that he will be on a roster when training camp opens.</div>http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl

I dont see him wanting to be a backup to Billy Volek...idk. I think they'd have to at least offer him the chance to COMPETE for the Starting Job.

They'd definitely let him compete for it, especially since it says if he's going to go there it will be right before training camp. They want to get him in there to compete for the job I'm sure. They want a veteran replacement for McNair it looks like.

Fisher and/or Reese has said somewhere that if they brought in a vet, it would be to compete for the starting job. If we haven't brought one in by the time training camp starts, I doubt we will.At this point, I don't see it happening, but if you had told me at 2005 seasons' end that we'd sign 4 of the top 50 FAs in the offseason, I probably would have called you an idiot, stupid, etc.
