well, it was going ot be one but now he has pushed it back to two. I bet he pushes it back to three or three fifteen since that is when bush is supposed to speak
The only thing that really bothered me was when they referred to states w/ different regions like Florida as being Balkanized.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nflfan04)</div><div class='quotemain'>whoo hooo!!!!!!!! all i gotta say</div> Just remember how you felt today, when you get drafted in a year or so down the road.
That would be great, I hope its a warm weather team that drafts me, I dont want to spend the winter trying to keep my ass warm in Green Bay....

KERRY WANTED A DRAFT. WATCH THE 2ND DEBNATE(if you can) WATCH FOR THE QUESTION, IT CLEARLY EXPLAINS IT.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (TheBeef)</div><div class='quotemain'>That would be great, I hope its a warm weather team that drafts me, I dont want to spend the winter trying to keep my ass warm in Green Bay....</div> HAHA...I hear Iraq is nice this time of year, so that'll do
When did Iraq get a team? Thats great that we can bring the great sport of football to the noble citizens of Iraq....1st we gave them freedom, now the worlds greatest game....GW Bush should be up for sainthood for his contributions to the Iraqi society....
I guess thats what makes our country so great is being a democracy. Eaglefan4life.. you tell the parents of the dead soldiers they fought in iraq for nothing . Every single war there is always people who protest it, witout thinking about the ones who spilt there guts for us. Retreat, is what all the iraqees said we did in the first war .. then saddam murderd over 300 thousand people for wanting a goverment change. I guess we should tuck tail like we did in vietnam and the korean war. Based on people like you and kerry. The soldiers who died in our country knew the consqences when they signed at the dotted line. War isnt pleasent but you dont throw up a white flag and run after all the sacrafices we made. Were entrenched for a few years over there. And being i am marine and i know all about war .. beleive me we arent leaving cause protesters who origianlly when this war started backed us, then the minute when shit gets ugly they wannna run. It doesnt work like that. Semper Fi
E4L, everyone in the military knows what they are signing up for. They are after all called the "armed" forces. I am grateful to and salute each one who has paid the ultimate price so that I can enjoy things I take for granted, like posting on these boards.
A friend of mine who was in Iraq for 1 year came back to the states about 6 months ago. While over there, he earned a purple heart for getting shrapnel lodged into his head. He's currently stationed in Colorado. He voted for John Kerry. At *10:00am Mountain Time* today, he got a notice that he will be returning to Iraq for 2 more years and ships out early this Summer.
I feel bad for your freind. however he did sign up for the armed forces and at a time of war this stuff happens. Its always been that way. I do not agree that a soldier who is wounded in combat gets awarded to go home and then be summoned back into battle. However every single person that signs their name knows the consequences of war and our military. Your freind isnt the first or the last to have this happen. I pray your freind makes it thru his time untouched. Guys like him do deserve medals and sometimes guys like your freind end up being a general or eventually someone in congress working for our goverment. My point wasnt to start a debate on the iraq war. My point was to make sure those who dont know what goes on in war, know their are consequences and retreat isnt always the best solution. God bless your freind raider.

E4L, first do some research and notice that a couple Democrats recently started something in Congress about a draft, not Bush. Then do a little more research and figure out that it was just an anti-Bush political ploy. Neither Democrats or Republicans want a draft. Why? I think it would be a big social issue. Remember, this time around, women would have to be drafted too due to the gender-equality thing. Imagine the lawsuits by males if they don't. War is a touchy enough subject. I don't think they are ready to force their sisters and daughters into action when they don't want to go.
I tell you what. When I graduated HS, I almost went to the Army. This was at the time when Clinton was president, and they were talking about the GI Bil, and how it would pay for college. There was not sign of War at the time. I tell you what, had I went there, I would now have been signing up for this. Like I guarantee you, a lot of the reserves and national guard did not sign up for this either. I feel like we the people have a contract with the president, where he would do all else possible to avoid war. I feel like, in this case he did not do that. This has nothing to do with the peple in Iraq now, they are just doing their job. But I feel like all this could have been avoided. And I feel sad for all of the families that have lost their sons and daughters. It's a sad situation that in 2004, we are still making the some mistakes we did ni 1964.
I am so thankful most people dont agree with you. I am sorry that you havent let Jesus Christ into your life. I am sorry you dont consider freedom worth dying for.
