<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jets RB Kevan Barlow has requested and been granted his release after refusing to take a paycut, a person close to the running back told The Star-Ledger last night. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the club has yet to make an announcement. That announcement could come today.Barlow, who was to earn a $2.75 million in base salary in 2007, had an injury-slowed season with the Jets after being acquired from the 49ers last August for a fourth-round pick. He finished with 370 yards rushing and six touchdowns on 131 carries, just a 2.8-yard average.</div>http://www.nj.com/jets/ledger/index.ssf?/b....xml&coll=1Good Riddance, didn't do anything for us and isn't worth the money he was making.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jets signed CB Hank Poteat to a one-year, $635,000 contract.Poteat is picked up during the season every year by the Pats or Jets, so Eric Mangini is getting the move out of the way early. He started some games in 2006, but New York will hope he's a reserve next season</div>Solid Depth move, He started a few games for us well next season, but I'd expect him to be a backup next season.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jets released C Trey Teague.Originally signed to be Nick Mangold's mentor, Teague broke the same ankle twice and never saw the field for the Gang Green. At age 32, he could get a look as a backup from a team that doesn't use zone blocking.</div>RotoworldThis one suprises me, I thought he'd be a good canidate to compete for a starting spot at Guard.

I think Poteat is underrated. He may not have starting talent, but he is definitley a corner I would have backing up my team. He reminds me of Ray Mickens when he was like 26.

Lol @ the memories of sayin Gore would be a star and Barlow sucks before the season began and people debatin with me about it.

Did you join the NFLC Fantasy Football league? I think that's where I remember you wanting to draft him and telling people not to get Barlow.
