I think the Suns got an average deal unless they can use that 10th pick to get off of Beal's contract I think I would have rather had Jabari then Green with knowing what the Suns have on the roster. I give this deal for the Suns -- C plus to maybe B minus Rockets -- B plus to maybe an A minus I will say I need to see what the team's do AFTER this trade specially the Suns to really give them a grade.
Would the Suns be interested in giving up #10 to pair Simons with Booker? I have no idea but I hope so. They need to field a competitive team around Booker and the pick is irrelevant to that.
I will say this now -- IF the Blazers are looking at Carter Bryant or another SF -- Carter being most likely I think unless Suns use that pick on another trade HE will be the Sun's pick
They just got Jalen Green and Brooks. They were rumored to also want Reed Sheppard in the deal so yeah maybe they would want Ant to play as a third guard behind Booker and Green but with Grayson Allen on the team they might feel good about their perimeter players.
They should immediately move off of Green. I think either him or Booker should go. Book would be much better with Ant beside him than Green.
They've been clamoring for a center apparently so maybe it's Queen? Bryant would be behind Brooks and others... I don't think the Suns are done making deals....
I will say that lineup is tough…..BUT, Coach Ike expects his players to D up and has yanked players if they aren’t. He won’t be able to do that to KD…..tough to impose your will on the team if the top player isn’t buying in. We’ll see, but I think short team, this makes Houston a better squad.
PHX is weakest at center, PF, and PG. Their UFAs and RFAs (see SPOTRAC) are backup level. They have 4 SGs, 4 SFs, 1 back-up PG, and 2 back-up centers. (Some argument might be done on a guy’s position but not that much or significantly.) More trades to come. Beal will have to agree to any trade.
