Kevin Frandsen, a second baseman for the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate, was suspended for 50 games Wednesday following a positive test under baseball's minor league drug program. A veteran of five seasons with the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Angels, Frandsen signed a minor league contract with the Phillies on April 1. He became a free agent in December when the Angels declined to offer a 2011 contract, then went to spring training with the San Diego Padres, who released him on March 25.
