<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"He's certainly played like he belongs," Petrie said. "He's got great quickness. And he's explosive, too. He's got a pretty good feel for the game, when to cut and where to cut. As he gains experience, I think it's going to be interesting to see where he goes."</div>
With Martin getting some starting time this pre-season, that will help him immensly when coming off the bench to spell Christie. He keeps looking better as time goes along, but the real test will be when he steps out on the floor against real competition.

I've liked him ever since I saw some footage of him playing and his descriptions on the scouting reports. I really hope he does well in Sacramento. I think he'll be a very very good player down the line. He does need some physical development, though.

Martin did a great job in the China games. He showed good explosiveness and finishing on the break, but the parts of his game that I feel he has to improve on are his perimeter shooting and body mass. If Martin can be bigger and stronger, he will be able to take it to the rack with ease and thus gain many more trips to the line, which will do nothing but help his game.

IM A LAKER FAN, BUT I COME IN PEACE!!!
Now that Ive got that taken care of, I have really like Martin from day one of the summer leagues. He is very thin but if he bulks up he can be very good someday. But putting the weight issue aside, I think that he will have a great year for you guys and that he will be one of the sleepers from the draft.

    LOL
dude, its all good... it doesnt matter if you are a Laker fan Kings fan or just a casual observer, everyone is welcome here [IMG]

Im not so sure that the weight issue is really all that much, there are plenty of smalish players that were called "too small and too thin" to play who have proved everyone wrong.

Im not sayin at this point that Martin is one of those type of players, but he could be.

Well lets just assume that Martin will work out for the Kings until he plays like crap.at this point,i'm just happy we have a good roster now.i'll be happier if our roster plays like i think they are capable of,and i think that's great b-ball.
