St. Louis defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk will undergo abdominal surgery, the Blues announced Monday. Shattenkirk was injured in the team's 4-3 win over the Capitals on Sunday after colliding with Washington's Alex Ovechkin in the first period. St. Louis said Shattenkirk will have the procedure in the next seven to 10 days and will be week-to-week following the operation.
